to alan pardew
West Ham United chairman Eggert Magnusson has slammed former Hammers boss Alan Pardew, claiming there was dressing room unrest while he was in charge.
Pardew was sacked by Magnusson in December after a disastrous run of form, with Alan Curbishley replacing him at Upton Park.
Magnusson will come face-to-face with Pardew next weekend, as West Ham travel to Charlton Athletic for a crucial relegation battle and the Icelander has already stoked the fires ahead of the clash by suggesting Pardew had lost the dressing room at West Ham.
"There was no purpose to talk about it publicly at the time," Magnusson told the News of the World
"But the key factor was something was just not right in the dressing room.
"Tension had been building between the players and the manager for a while.
"There was a cancer we had to cut off."

Keen on Diawara
According to reports emanating from the French press, Sochaux defender Souleymane Diawara could soon be heading for The Premiership.
The 27-year-old stopper has reportedly caught the eye of Charlton boss Iain Dowie, who would be eager to tie up a deal before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Diawara is a full Senegal international who has proven his credentials in the past few seasons with a series of impressive Ligue 1 displays and was previously being tracked by Newcastle and Portsmouth.
Charlton would need to lodge a bid in the region of €6 million (£4 million) to tempt Sochaux into a sale, with talks expected between the two parties later this week.
Meanwhile, Sochaux goalkeeper Teddy Richert has handed the club a boost by putting pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal.
The experienced shot-stopper was coveted by a number of clubs but has decided to remain loyal to Sochaux and stay with them until 2010.

Amady Faye joins the Addicks
Newcastle United have confirmed that Senegalese international Amady Faye has joined Charlton Athletic in a £2m deal.
The 29 year old signed for United from Portsmouth early in 2005, but was deemed surplus to requirements at St James' Park by boss Glenn Roeder. After being given permission to speak to Addicks manager Iain Dowie over the weekend, Amady passed his medical this morning and joined up with his new teammates this afternoon.
All here at Newcastle Online wish him all the very best of luck with his new club, and thank him for his efforts in his time at Newcastle United.

European Addicks
No Europe
Charlton dont have any big results in european area , but in the season of 2003-2004 Charlton were very close to european campaign...
Seventh place
2003-04 was Charlton's best league season for some 50 years. They spent much of the campaign challenging for a Champions League place but another late-season slump cost them a place in Europe once more. However, seventh place in the final table was their highest league finish since the 1950s.
