Johnson is delighted
Andrew Johnson is delighted with his recall to the England squad, insisting it is thanks to his summer move to Everton.
Johnson was named by Steve McClaren in his squad for next month's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Andorra and Macedonia.
And the former Crystal Palace man says it is all down to his move to Goodison Park.
"When I joined Everton I said that it would be good for my international ambitions and that's been proved right," he said.
"Every player wants to represent his country and I am no different in that. I just hope that now I can actually play a part in the two games.
"I am happy with my form at Everton and I have to thank the lads who have made it very easy for me to settle in."

Howard happy with Everton
Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard says he has nothing to prove as he embarks on a season away from Manchester United.
The United States international has joined The Toffees on a season-long loan this term after being pushed down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Howard is keen to re-establish himself in England after falling out of favour under Sir Alex Ferguson, but has nothing detrimental to say about the Scot.
The 27-year-old just wants to put his recent United disappointment behind him and make the most of his Everton chance.
"I hate to rely on a sports cliche, but I'm not looking to prove anything," said Howard.
"I think I have proven myself. And, as an athlete, you want to continue to prove yourself.
"Ferguson didn't treat me exceptionally bad or anything. In fact, I have nothing but good things to say about him.
"For me, it's just about looking forward to this year and seeing how this goes and putting everything I have into this year."

Evertonians to Europe
Everton have won the European Cup Winners Cup at 1985 and also last year They have played in the qualification round of Champions League , but They have lost it.
European Cup Winners' Cup
1985

Champions of Merseyside
Significantly, European success at last reached Goodison in 1985 in the shape of the European Cup Winners' Cup. After going through two-legged rounds against University College Dublin, Inter Bratislava and Fortuna Sittard, Everton defeated German giants Bayern Munich 3-1 in the semi-finals despite trailing at half time (in a match voted the greatest in Goodison Park history) and recorded the same scoreline against Austrian club Rapid Vienna in the final.
They so nearly captured the "treble". They managed to won the league title and the Cup Winners' Cup but were defeated by Manchester United in the FA Cup Final thanks to Norman Whiteside's extra-time goal. Nevertheless, it was arguably the club's most successful season since its creation and has not been equalled by future Everton teams since.
Fans contend that the 1980s Everton team would have gone on to win even more European silverware after their 1985 Cup Winners' Cup success were it not for the banning of all English clubs from continental competitions. Indeed, a large proportion of the title winning side was broken up following the ban. By the time the ban was lifted, Everton were no longer the team they were in 1985.
Destination Europe!!!
Everton started the 2005-06 season badly, with their Champions League campaign ending in the qualifying stages. They were defeated by Villarreal, (although many fans point to a controversial decision by Italian referee Pierluigi Collina to disallow a seemingly legitimate Everton goal late in the second leg when the score was 3-2). They were then immediatly knocked out of the UEFA cup, and also had a very poor start to the league.
Everton's premierleague history

Expectations are high on Merseyside that David Moyes can continue Everton's rise into the upper echelons of the Barclays Premiership. Moyes, one of the youngest managers in the top flight after taking over the reins from Walter Smith in March 2002, has made a successful start to life in the top flight. The highly-rated former Preston boss made an immediate impact at Goodison Park as, seconds into his opening game against Fulham, defender David Unsworth crashed home a shot from outside the box to help secure a 2-1 win over the Cottagers. And throughout the 2002-2003 season they became one the most consistent and hard-to-beat sides in the top flight. However, Moyes' second season at Goodison proved to be much more difficult than his first. After seeing the likes of James McFadden and Kevin Kilbane brought into the club, the Everton faithful harboured hopes that their team could possibly claim a European place. Sadly, it was not to be as a season of struggle saw Moyes' men finish just outside the relegation places. The Toffees have an illustrious history and are now the longest-serving club in the top flight. They also possess a proud record of five FA Cup wins. Their victory over Manchester United in the 1995 final at Wembley sparked Everton's best season in the FA Premier League era - sixth under Joe Royle. The Goodison Park Academy discovered a real gem in England international Wayne Rooney, who left Merseyside for Old Trafford in August 2004. Finished fourth in the Barclays Premiership in 2004-2005, earning a Champions League berth. Everton remain one of England's biggest clubs and with Moyes at the helm they could finally realise their potential and delight their huge fan base.
