steed wont play again

Permalink 01:06:52 pm, by cartman Email , 188 words, 3451 views   English (UK)

Chris Coleman is ready to cancel Steed Malbranque's Fulham contract as the midfielder continues to stall on a move.

The Cottagers are trying to ship out the 26-year-old before the transfer deadline as he has refused to extend his contract which expires next summer.

Malbranque has already rejected a switch to Middlesbrough, while West Ham United are reported to be keen on the schemer.

But a groin injury is holding up a transfer as Coleman claims the player is digging his heels in over a quick-fix operation.

"The op that would keep him out for just a few weeks wouldn't jeopardise a move," said Coleman.

"The other would keep him out for three months, so clubs are not going to buy him."

Coleman has become increasingly exasperated by the situation and insists Malbranque will not be playing for the club again.

With only three weeks until the window shuts, the Fulham boss is prepared to take drastic action in a bid to offload the former Lyon starlet.

He added: "I wouldn't rule out cancelling his contract.

"As long as I am picking the team he won't be playing."

Legwinski on a move to France

Permalink 10:33:39 am, by englishpremier Email , 207 words, 123 views   English (UK)

After 5 years with Fulham French midfielder Sylvain Legwinski appears to be heading back to France.

"Leggy" Legwinski has dropped down the pecking order at Craven Cottages with rumours of disagreements behind the scenes. Last season Legwinski played just 12 games all before the end of January.

At the moment the Frenchman is training with Troyes in the French Ligue 1. A permanent move is on the cards as Fulham have agreed to the player finding another club.

His agent Craig Hutchinson has said that Legwinski would like to stay in England.

"Sylvain is not too proud to go on trial somewhere," said Hutchinson, "Sylvain is keen to make sure that no doors are left unopened and is prepared to consider anything sensible in order to be playing.

"He is not frightened to show that he is in good shape and has got the right attitude. He is ready to prove himself.

"His preference is to stay in England but the fact is that England is very quiet at the moment. He is on the list of some clubs but time is getting short.

"He does not want to sit for his final year at Fulham collecting his wages and either playing in the reserves or not getting a game."

Chairman
Mohamed Al-Fayed

Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed is an Egyptian-born, Swiss-based businessman. He styles himself Mohamed al-Fayed, the al being Arabic designation, which some of his critics contest he is not entitled to.

Mohamed Fayed is the owner of Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London, the English Premiership football team Fulham Football Club and other business interests. He re-launched Punch in 1996, only to see it fold again in 2002.

Managing Director
David McNally

David joined the Club as Commercial Director in January 2005, working alongside the Directors on the board.

Having previously spent four successful years as Sales and Marketing Director at Celtic FC, David's knowledge of football and business acumen are qualities that the Chairman is confident will enhance the ongoing evolution of the Club.

Director
Mark Collins

To be involved with the Club on this level today is a great honour for me and I would like to assure all Fulham fans that I will work tirelessly to ensure the Club's continued progress.

Having been a Fulham fan for over 30 years (I first started coming to Craven Cottage during the 1971/72 season with my brother), I have been a regular in the Enclosure and the Riverside Stand enjoying the highs and lows of Fulham's unfolding story.

As an employee of Harrods Estates, I was fortunate enough to be part of the team that facilitated the Chairman's acquisition of the Club in 1997. So as you can see Fulham Football Club is something that is very close to my heart, both personally and professionally.
